What are ultra-pure peptides?

Put simply, Ultra-pure peptides are highly purified, freeze-dried research compounds made without added bulking agents unless disclosed. Because the peptide itself occupies very little space, the vial may appear less full even when it contains the complete labeled amount. Powder size does not determine purity, potency, or quantity; analytical testing and accurate labeling matter most.

Many customers are surprised when they first receive a vial of highly purified lyophilized peptide. In reality, even 10 mg or 20 mg of peptide is an extremely small amount of material.

The visible size of the freeze-dried cake is not a reliable indicator of the amount of peptide in the vial.

Why Do Some Vials Look Larger?

Some peptide formulations include inactive excipients (also called bulking agents) such as mannitol, trehalose, glycine, or sucrose. These ingredients can increase the size of the lyophilized cake and may serve formulation or stability purposes in some products.

Unless specifically disclosed, our products are formulated without added bulking excipients. As a result, the freeze-dried cake may appear significantly smaller than products that contain inactive formulation ingredients.

When evaluating a research peptide, the most important quality indicators are:

Purity

The visible size of the powder alone does not determine potency, purity, or peptide content.
